The job market is brutal right now, and headlines are confusing. While one company is replacing entry-level jobs with AI, the next one is hiring entry-level workers specifically to run their AI.
And talking about post-college plans can create a rift between parent and child.

The College-to-Career Intensive is a private session where I meet with the parent(s) and student for 60-75 minutes. Together, we’ll:

Hi, I’m Anne.
I am an ICF-ACC certified career coach who has helped more than a hundred (100) professionals navigate inflection points in their careers. A few years ago, past clients started coming to me to work with their young adults who needed support in launching successful job searches. Parents have been relieved to hand off the nitty-gritty job-search project management to a professional, and my work with these students has yielded results.
My experience coaching mid-career professionals – those hiring entry-level candidates – informs how I coach young adults entering the workforce. I know what hiring managers are looking for & what separates a competitive candidate from the rest of the pack.
I am also a mother of two soon-to-be college students (ages 17 and 15), so I have a vested interest in knowing all of the latest ins and outs of the college-to-career pipeline.

Your Questions, Answered:
My college kid is a sophomore. Is booking an Intensive premature?
Not at all! This is a great time to road-map what your student’s college-to-career trajectory can look like. As sophomores, they have time to be strategic about the types of internships that will serve their needs, develop relationships with professors, and optimize their exposure to career opportunities.
My college kid is a rising senior. Is it too late to book an Intensive?
Nope! Senior year brings traditions, last-chance-to’s, and anxiety about what’s next. An Intensive quells anxiety by giving the student a plan and a timeline in which to execute it.
What if my student’s career interests change between now and graduation? What if they’re uncertain about what they want to do?
Students’ (and adults’, for that matter) career interests evolve as they mature and gain experience – this is expected. What we can’t change is what they haven’t done with their time once it’s passed. Booking an Intensive is a great way to plan how to optimize the time your student has left between now and graduation.
What happens after the Intensive?
Many families choose to continue with private coaching after the Intensive — we’ll talk about whether that’s a fit during our session, but there’s no pressure either way. If you choose to move forward with coaching, the cost of the Intensive will be credited toward the investment.
Can't my student just use ChatGPT or watch YouTube videos to figure this out?
AI and YouTube can give them information; they can’t give them a sequenced plan tailored to their grade level, their interests, and the current market. And they can’t replace the experience of being asked the right questions by a professional who’s done this 100+ times.
